Torre d’Orti Amarone DOCG 2018 shows a deep, intense ruby-red colour with garnet reflections in the glass, typical of a classic Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG wine. On the nose, it offers a complex bouquet: dark fruits such as blackberries and blackcurrants mingle with ripe cherries, complemented by spicy notes — pepper — and subtle hints of oak and vanilla from its barrel ageing. On the palate the wine is powerful and structured, with a dense, velvety texture. Flavours of ripe fruit — plums and dark berries — are paired with a refined, well-integrated tannic backbone. The finish is long, warm and harmonious. An excellent companion for rich meat dishes, stews, game or aged cheese — or simply to savour alone as a contemplative wine.
