The Vernatsch IGT "Reflexion" 2021 from Widmann Wine presents itself in a lively ruby red color. The bouquet delights with fresh aromas of cherries and raspberries, underlined by a hint of violet. On the palate, the wine is fresh and well-structured, with silky tannins and a pleasant finish. The indigenous Vernatsch grape, cultivated in South Tyrol since the 16th century, lends this wine its characteristic lightness and fruitiness. Winemaker Max Widmann combines traditional pergola training in the Kampill vineyards of Bolzano with modern vinification: after three weeks of spontaneous fermentation on the skins, the wine matures for twelve months in tonneaux and a further six months in stainless steel tanks.
