The Ansonaco Toscana IGT BIO 2021 from Le Anfore di Elena Casadei is an exceptional white wine that is vinified in terracotta amphoras to preserve the purity and complexity of the aromas. The wine has a color between gold and deep straw yellow. On the nose, it shows distinctive notes of hawthorn, white peaches and plums as well as a subtle note of incense. On the palate, it develops balsamic notes of chamomile, tea and yellow flowers such as broom. The wine impresses with its excellent freshness, well-integrated, dense tannins and a pleasantly persistent, dry and fresh finish with an almost cutting acidity.
This wine is made from 100% Ansonica grapes, which are known for their aromatic and floral properties. Ansonica, also known as Inzolia, produces wines that are rich in fruit and floral aromas and have lively acidity.
The special feature of this wine lies in the use of amphoras for vinification, which enables natural micro-oxygenation and intensifies the aromas of the grapes. The wine is cultivated according to biodynamic principles and is Demeter certified, which underlines the sustainability and naturalness of the wine.
