The 2023 vintage of Stroblhof’s “Schwarzhaus” Chardonnay DOC greets the eye with a bright golden-yellow hue – clear and shimmering. On the nose there are refined aromas of hazelnut butter and almond, followed by ripe stone fruit such as apricot. On the palate it unfolds with a velvety texture and subtle creaminess; the maturation in large oak barrels provides depth and structure, while the acidity remains precise and well-balanced. The finish is gently spicy, harmonious, and of medium length.
