The Chardonnay Riserva Burgum Novum 2020 from Castelfeder appears in the glass with a bright straw-yellow colour, subtly infused with green highlights – indicative of a mature top-white wine. On the nose, it offers ripe apple and banana aromas, light tropical fruit accents, alongside toasted almond and hazelnut notes, and a fine mineral spine. On the palate the wine is full-bodied and well-structured: it marries a powerful texture with balanced acidity and salinic minerality, enriched by nutty and gentle smoky touches, culminating in a long and elegant finish.
