Chateau Sociando Mallet

Unique wines from Bordeaux

Château Sociando-Mallet, located in the renowned Haut-Médoc appellation in Bordeaux, is a winery with a fascinating history and an excellent reputation. The winery is located near the village of Saint-Seurin-de-Cadourne and was founded in the early 17th century. However, the winery's modern success began in 1969 when Jean Gautreau acquired the estate and carried out extensive investments and modernizations.

Château Sociando-Mallet is spread over 85 hectares, which lie mainly on gravelly soils typical of the region and offer ideal conditions for viticulture. The vineyards are mainly planted with Cabernet Sauvignon (48%), Merlot (47%) and Cabernet Franc (5%), which gives the wines structure, complexity and finesse.

An outstanding feature of this winery is the focus on quality at every stage of production. The grapes are harvested by hand and are carefully selected before being processed in modern cellars. The wine ages in French oak barrels, which give the wine extra depth and elegance.

An interesting detail about Château Sociando-Mallet is that, despite its high quality, it was not included in the official Bordeaux classification of 1855. However, this did not hurt the winery; on the contrary, it now enjoys a huge following among wine lovers and critics worldwide. Château Sociando-Mallet wines are known for their consistency and ability to mature and develop over decades.
