Château Brane Cantenac

Château Brane-Cantenac, a renowned winery in the Margaux appellation in Bordeaux, looks back on a long and prestigious history. The winery is located in the municipality of Cantenac, in the heart of the Margaux region. Originally known as Château Gorce, it was acquired by Baron Hector de Branne in the early 19th century and renamed Brane-Cantenac.

Since 1925, the château has been owned by the Lurton family, one of the most prominent wine-growing families in Bordeaux. Henri Lurton, the current winemaker, manages the estate with great care and a strong commitment to quality. Château Brane-Cantenac's vineyards cover 75 hectares and benefit from the region's gravelly soils, which offer excellent conditions for viticulture.

A special feature of the winery is the exceptional variety of terroirs, which makes it possible to produce wines of great finesse and complexity. The winery uses cutting-edge techniques combined with traditional methods to get the best out of the vines. An interesting detail about Château Brane-Cantenac is that the winery has been increasingly focusing on sustainable viticulture for several years. The vineyards are cultivated in an environmentally friendly way and no chemical pesticides and herbicides are used. This reflects the winery's commitment not only to produce excellent wines but also to protect the environment.
