POMMERY CHAMPAGNE

The Pommery estate in Reims is known for its impressive underground chalk cellars, which stretch over 18 kilometers.

Champagne Pommery is a renowned champagne house based in Reims, France. Founded in 1858 by Alexandre Louis Pommery and Narcisse Greno, the company originally began trading wool. After Alexandre Pommery's death, his widow, Louise Pommery, took over the reins and concentrated entirely on champagne production. Under her leadership, Pommery introduced the first Brut champagne in 1874, which was characterized by a lower sugar content and revolutionized the taste of the time.
The Pommery estate in Reims is known for its impressive underground chalk cellars, which stretch over 18 kilometers. These cellars not only house the aging champagne bottles, but also serve as an exhibition space for contemporary works of art, which underlines the combination of tradition and modernity at Pommery.
Today, Pommery is part of the Vranken-Pommery Monopole Group, which also includes other renowned brands such as Heidsieck & Co Monopole and Vranken. The champagne house offers a wide range of products, including the well-known Brut Royal, which is appreciated for its freshness and elegance.
Visitors can tour the estate and take part in guided tours of the historic cellars, which offer an insight into the history and production process of champagne. In addition, Villa Demoiselle, a magnificent Art Nouveau building, is located directly opposite the Pommery estate and is also open for visits.
In August 2022, Pommery announced a collaboration with Japanese rock star Yoshiki, marking the brand's first co-release with an artist. This partnership reflects Pommery's efforts to drive innovation and creativity in the
champagne world.
