Louis Roederer
Louis Roederer, a renowned winery in the heart of the Champagne region, has a rich history dating back to 1776. Founded by Louis Roederer, the winery is based in Reims, a city famous for its champagne tradition. The Louis Roederer house is one of the few remaining family-owned houses. It is currently managed by Frédéric Rouzaud, a direct descendant of the founder.
A special feature of the Louis Roederer winery is exclusive access to 240 hectares of first-class vineyards spread over the best locations in Champagne. These vineyards, which are mainly located in the Grands and Premiers Crus of the Montagne de Reims, the Côte des Blancs and the Vallée de la Marne, provide the grapes for the house's famous wines. The quality of the vines and the care taken in winemaking enable Louis Roederer to produce exceptional champagnes.
Theestate's most famous wines include the legendary Cristal, a prestigious cuvée that was originally created in 1876 for the Russian Tsar Alexander II. Cristal is known for its fineness, elegance and durability. Other notable wines include Brut Premier, a harmonious and balanced cuvée, as well as Blanc de Blancs and Rosé Vintage.
