Perrier-Jouet
Perrier-Jouët is a renowned champagne house with a rich history dating back to 1811 when it was founded in Épernay by Pierre-Nicolas Perrier and his wife Adele Jouët. The winery is located in the heart of the Champagne region, one of the world's most famous wine-growing regions, which is famous for its first-class sparkling wines. Since its inception, Perrier-Jouët has been known for producing exquisite champagnes that embody elegance and refinement.
The winery is particularly proud of its exceptional vineyards, which cover 65 hectares and are 99.2% classified as Grand Crus. These vineyards are mainly located in the villages of Cramant, Avize and Mailly, which are known for their high-quality Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes. The terroir of this region, with its unique climate and calcareous soils, offers ideal conditions for growing grapes that give Perrier-Jouët wines their characteristic finesse and minerality.
A special feature of Perrier-Jouët is its close connection to art and nature. This is particularly reflected in the famous Belle Époque bottle, which is decorated with hand-painted anemones, a design by Art Nouveau artist Émile Gallé. This bottle is not only a symbol of champagne itself, but also of the house's philosophy of celebrating beauty and nature.
