The Pasini San Giovanni winery is located in San Benedetto di Lugana, nestled in the picturesque surroundings of Peschiera del Garda, surrounded by the charming villages of Broglie and Busocaldo. The vineyards cover about ten hectares of fertile clay soil and are exclusively dedicated to the local white grape variety Turbiana. Known locally as Trebbiano di Lugana, this native variety is the result of ancient land with heavy clay soil and has genetic similarities to the Verdicchio grape.
It belongs to the large Trebbiano grape family and has adapted optimally to the clay soil and the special microclimate of Lake Garda.
The medium-sized grapes are characterized by their resistance to vine pests, although they are not particularly productive and ripen late. Their acidity gives the wines produced vivacity and longevity, which impress with their nuances and personality.
