Le Terrazze
Fattoria Le Terrazze is a historic winery in the Marche region, Italy, which has been producing excellent wines since 1882. Located on the hills of Monte Conero in Numana, the estate is owned by the Terni family, which has been growing and making wine from Montepulciano grapes since the late 19th century. Under the direction of Antonio and Georgina Terni and experienced winemaker Federico Curtaz, Fattoria Le Terrazze produces around 90,000 bottles of wine annually from its 16-hectare vineyards.
The vineyards benefit from the unique location and microclimate of Conero, a region that is particularly known for its red wines. This is where the characteristic Rosso Conero DOC and the Sassi Neri DOCG Riserva are made, both from 100% Montepulciano grapes. In addition to these classic wines, the winery also produces innovative creations such as IGT Marche Chaos, a blend of Montepulciano, Syrah and Merlot, as well as Chardonnay Le Cave and Rosé Pinkfluid.
The winery's collaboration with Bob Dylan is particularly interesting. Antonio Terni, an avid Dylan fan, named one of his wines “Visions of J” after the Dylan song “Visions of Johanna” in 1997. This wine, which is only produced in the best vintages, has received numerous awards.
