The winemaking at Moncaro combines modern technologies with traditional methods.
When speaking of Moncaro, one refers to a winery deeply rooted in the winemaking tradition of the Marche region. Founded in 1964 in Montecarotto, in the heart of the Castelli di Jesi, Moncaro is dedicated to producing high-quality wines that reflect the terroir and culture of the region.
Moncaro operates three wineries in the most important winegrowing areas of the Marche: Montecarotto for Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi, Camerano on the slopes of Monte Conero for Rosso Conero, and Acquaviva Picena in the upper Piceno area for Rosso Piceno. This geographical diversity allows the winery to optimally utilize the unique characteristics of each zone, producing wines with strong territorial character.
Since the 1980s, Moncaro has focused on organic and sustainable farming. With over 30 years of experience in organic agriculture, the winery has expanded its philosophy to all its vineyards, with a clear focus on production quality and environmental protection.

All fermentation tanks and barrels are individually temperature-controlled to preserve the fine aromas of the grape varieties, particularly Verdicchio. This careful processing has contributed to Verdicchio's true renaissance, which, once seen as a cheap tourist wine in the 1980s, is now highly regarded by connoisseurs.
