Moccagatta
The Moccagatta winery is located in the renowned Piedmont wine region, more specifically in the Langhe sub-region, which is known for its outstanding wines and picturesque landscapes. The winery was founded in the 1950s by the Minuto family, who have been rooted in the region for generations and are dedicated to winemaking with passion and dedication.
Today, the estate is run by brothers Sergio and Franco Minuto, who continue their family's legacy using both traditional methods and modern techniques to produce the highest quality wines. The Moccagatta vineyards cover about 12 hectares and are located on the hills of Barbaresco, one of the most prestigious locations in Piedmont.
The estate's most famous wines include Barbaresco DOCG, which is produced in various individual vineyards such as Basarin and Bric Balin. These wines are known for their elegance, complexity, and longevity. The Barbaresco Basarin is characterized by its fine tannins and aromas of red fruits and spices, while the Barbaresco Bric Balin is appreciated for its depth, structure and notes of dark berries and tobacco.
