Moccagatta
The Moccagatta winery is located in the renowned wine region of Piedmont, more precisely in the Langhe subregion, famous for its exceptional wines and picturesque landscapes. The estate was founded in the 1950s by the Minuto family, who have been rooted in the region for generations and have dedicated themselves to winemaking with passion and commitment.
Today, the winery is run by brothers Sergio and Franco Minuto, who carry on their family legacy by combining traditional methods with modern techniques to produce wines of the highest quality. The Moccagatta vineyards cover around 12 hectares and are situated on the rolling hills of Barbaresco, one of the most prestigious appellations in Piedmont.
Among the estate’s most renowned wines are the Barbaresco Bric Balin and the Barbaresco Basarin, two expressions of remarkable elegance and individuality. The Bric Balin stands out for its depth, structure, and notes of dark berries and tobacco, while the Basarin is characterized by fine tannins, freshness, and aromas of red fruits and spices. Both wines perfectly reflect the Langhe terroir and the Minuto family’s winemaking philosophy.
In addition to these exceptional reds, the estate also produces the refined Chardonnay Buschet, an elegant and harmonious white wine that combines vibrant fruit with subtle mineral complexity.
With their balance of tradition and innovation, Moccagatta wines embody the sophistication and authenticity of Barbaresco and represent the timeless excellence of Piedmontese winemaking.
