Nadia Curto

The Nadia Curto winery is located in the picturesque La Morra region of Piedmont, particularly in the district of Annunziata. The history of the winery begins in the 1960s with Marco Curto and his wife Adele, who cultivated Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto and Freisa vineyards on four hectares. Her daughter Nadia joined in 2000 and brought a breath of fresh air to wine production.

Nadia Curto is a talented winemaker who learned the trade from her father Marco and her uncle Elio Altare, a prominent representative of the “Barolo Boys.” This double influence allowed her to find a balance between traditional and modern viticulture. Under her management, the vineyards are cultivated according to organic principles, avoiding the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides. Instead, natural fertilizers and fermentation methods without added yeasts are used.

A particular strength of the winery lies in the production of high-quality Barolo wines. The Barolo Arborina, which ages in small French oak barrels, is a prime example of Nadia Curto's ability to create powerful yet elegant wines. Barolo La Foia is also characterized by its complex structure and velvety tannins.

In addition to these Barolos, the winery also produces other notable wines such as Barbera d'Alba, Langhe Nebbiolo, Dolcetto d'Alba and Langhe Freisa. These wines are known for their excellent quality and ability to both be enjoyed now and aged for years.
