Nadia Curto

The Nadia Curto Estate is located in La Morra, in the heart of the Langhe wine region in Piedmont and within the historic Barolo area. The estate is situated in the Annunziata district, one of the most respected wine-growing zones of the Langhe. The Curto family has cultivated vineyards in this area for several decades, maintaining a strong connection to the traditions and terroir of the region.

Today the estate is run by Nadia Curto, who works together with her father Marco in both vineyard management and winemaking. The estate remains intentionally small, producing limited quantities of wine that allow close attention to each individual vineyard parcel. Vineyard work plays a central role: controlled yields, careful hand harvesting and precise grape selection ensure that the wines clearly express the character of the vineyards around La Morra.

The estate’s vineyards are located in some of the most suitable areas of the Langhe, including the Arborina zone, which is known for producing expressive Barolo wines. The soils consist mainly of calcareous marl and clay, conditions particularly favourable for the Nebbiolo grape variety. From these vineyards the estate produces several Barolo wines, including a classic Barolo and a bottling from the Arborina vineyard.
Alongside Nebbiolo, Barbera is another important grape variety for the estate. Grown in the hills surrounding La Morra, it produces wines with lively acidity, structure and freshness. While the estate also cultivates other traditional Piedmontese varieties, the main focus remains on Nebbiolo and Barbera, two grapes that clearly reflect the character of the Langhe. Nadia Curto follows a philosophy based on respect for vineyard and environment. Spontaneous fermentations, careful ageing and minimal intervention in the cellar allow the wines to express their origin clearly.
