Morgante
The Morgante winery is located in the Sicily region, more specifically in the Agrigento sub-region, in the southwestern part of the island. Founded in the early 1990s by Antonio Morgante, the family winery quickly made a name for itself for its high-quality wines. Today, the winery is run by Antonio and his sons Carmelo and Giovanni, who continue their father's legacy with passion and innovative spirit.
The Morgante Winery's vineyards are spread over 200 hectares in the picturesque hills of Agrigento. This region is known for its Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and mild winters, which offers ideal conditions for viticulture. The soils are rich in limestone and clay, which gives the wines a special minerality and structure.
A special feature of the Morgante winery is the focus on the autochthonous Nero d'Avola grape variety, which is considered the queen of Sicilian grape varieties. The Morgante family is committed to fully exploiting the potential of this grape and producing wines that reflect Sicily's terroir and tradition. The wines are aged both in stainless steel tanks and in French oak barrels to increase their complexity and depth.
