Ebner Winery

The Ebner winery, located on the picturesque sunny Ritten plateau above Atzwang in the southernmost Eisack Valley, is known for its traditional wine production. The Unterthiner family is already running the winery in the third generation and is committed to maintaining traditional winemaking methods as well as introducing innovative techniques.

Red grape varieties in particular thrive on the winery's volcanic terraces, while the cooler south-eastern slopes offer ideal conditions for cultivating white varieties. The use of an old pergel system, which ensures an optimal supply of the vines even during dry periods, is particularly remarkable. This system is an essential factor for the sustainable management of the winery and underlines the winery's commitment to environmental protection and quality.

The wines from Weingut Ebner are characterized by their deep structure and full-bodied aromas, which are characterized by the mineral-rich, sandy-loamy and calcareous soils of the Eisack Valley. The combination of traditional craftsmanship and modern winemaking enables the winery to produce wines of extraordinary richness and length, which have both typical features of the region and a distinctive mineral character.
