Josmoar
The Josmoarhof is located in Galsaun in the Vinschgau region, a part of Castelbello. However, the grapes for the wine grow in Pfaffenegg, at an altitude of 600 meters. This distinctive piece of land on the Vinschger Sonnenberg has been known for its excellent vineyards since the 13th century. Even then, the monks of the monastery in Karthaus (Schnalstal) purchased their wines from here.
A lot has changed over the centuries, but the passion for viticulture and the unique terroirs of limestone slate, marble and paragneis, with their warm days and cool nights, has remained unchanged. As early as the 1980s, wine began to be produced here on a small scale, which was a revolution in the Vinschgau region at that time.
