The roots of the Cesconi family business run deep in the history of winemaking in Trentino-South Tyrol. As early as 1751, the name "Cesconi" appears in the archives of the municipality of Pressano, north of Trento, documenting the long tradition of the family in viticulture.
The family had already been producing wine for centuries: among other things, grapes and wine were delivered to Innsbruck and beyond. In the following generations – especially with grandfather Rinaldo and his son Paolo – the business was expanded and modernized.
For many decades, Cesconi has established winemaking on the hills of Pressano, with some very old plots and a deep understanding of the soil that has developed over generations.
Today, the business is actively run by the Cesconi family in the region, with a focus on organic viticulture and increasingly on biodynamic methods. The vineyards stretch between about 300 and 500 meters above sea level on the slopes of Pressano, and also in the Valle dei Laghi area, northwest of Lake Garda, allowing for the use of various microclimates and soil conditions.
The soils consist, among other things, of the so-called Werfen Formation (Triassic), with calcium-rich and well-mineralized rock layers, providing a foundation for wines with character, structure, minerality, and longevity.
In the cellar, Cesconi relies on native yeasts, moderate use of wood, and minimal intervention, following the philosophy of letting the grape and terroir speak for themselves. In addition to classic white and red wines, the range also includes sparkling wines and other specialties, with a variety of grape varieties ranging from Nosiola to Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, and Lagrein.
