The philosophy of Pojer & Sandri is based on meticulous cellar work, combined with imagination and a spirit of experimentation.
When speaking of Pojer & Sandri, one tells the story of two young men who, in 1975, shared a vision in Trentino: Fiorentino Sandri, who had inherited two hectares of vineyards, and Mario Pojer, freshly graduated from the renowned wine school in San Michele all’Adige. Together, they decided to produce high-quality wines on the hills of Faedo, in a region that had not yet been known for fine wines.
Their first vintage, a 1975 Müller Thurgau, set new standards and laid the foundation for their reputation. They quickly expanded their range to include Chardonnay and the indigenous Nosiola grape. The success allowed them to gradually increase their vineyard area.
Today, Pojer & Sandri manage 33 hectares of vineyards at altitudes ranging from 250 to 700 meters.
Their production includes white, red, sparkling, dessert, and natural wines. From the beginning, they also operated a distillery, where they produce high-quality grappa, wine brandy, and fruit distillates.
The philosophy of Pojer & Sandri is based on meticulous cellar work, combined with imagination and a spirit of experimentation. Their dedication to their products is reflected in a wide range: twelve wines, ten grappas, fifteen fruit brandies, as well as a dry sparkling wine and a ten-year barrel-aged brandy. Despite this variety, each product is a top-tier creation.
