Sanoner
Tenuta Sanoner is located in the picturesque Val d'Orcia region of Tuscany, specifically in Bagno Vignoni, nestled between the medieval fortress of Vignoni Alto and the Orcia River valley. The history of the winery began in 2009 when the Sanoner family, hoteliers for seven generations, purchased this piece of land. Originally started with just two hectares of vineyards, the winery now comprises 13 hectares and has evolved through the construction of a modern cellar in 2016.
The winery is run by the Sanoner family, who have a deep passion for nature and viticulture. Tenuta Sanoner follows the strict principles of biodynamic farming according to Demeter standards and produces authentic wines that carry the heartbeat of Tuscany. This biodynamic method integrates cosmic forces and promotes a harmonious interplay of land, plants and people.
The winery is particularly known for its Aetos line, whose name is derived from the Greek word for “eagle.” Outstanding wines include Aetos Sangiovese Orcia DOC and Aetos Sangiovese Riserva Orcia DOC These wines reflect the typical elegance and refinement of the Sangiovese grape, which is grown primarily on the rolling hills of the winery.
