Le Pupille

Le Pupille, a winery located in the rolling hills of Maremma in Tuscany, is a prime example of the power of vision and passion in viticulture. Founded in the 1970s by Elisabetta Geppetti, who is affectionately known as “Signora del Morellino”, Le Pupille has quickly become one of the leading wineries in the region. The history of the winery is closely linked to the rebirth of Morellino di Scansano, which in recent decades has become synonymous with the fine wine quality of Maremma.

The vineyards of Le Pupille, which cover around 75 hectares, are located in a unique terroir: kissed by the warm breeze of the Tyrrhenian Sea, they benefit from the perfect combination of Mediterranean climate and mineral-rich soils. Varieties such as Sangiovese, Alicante, and Syrah grow here, as well as international grapes such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, all of which develop a special expressiveness under the Maremma sun. In particular, the “Saffredi”, an iconic super Tuscan made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot, has put the winery on the map of the international wine world. It impresses with its depth, complexity and finesse and reflects the potential of the region.

Elisabetta Geppetti and her team rely on a philosophy that combines tradition and innovation. The cellars of Le Pupille work with extreme care and respect for the natural balance. The grapes are harvested by hand and the vinification takes place in modern facilities designed to preserve the character of the terroir.
