Valdifalco
Tenuta Valdifalco is an impressive winery located in the heart of Maremma, south of Grosseto in Tuscany. Founded in 1999 by the Loacker family, who have been pioneers of biodynamic viticulture in Italy and Europe since 1979, the winery comprises 64 hectares, of which 22 hectares are planted with vines. A large part of the land is located in the Uccellina Nature Park, a region known for its diverse vegetation and special microclimate.
Tenuta Valdifalco's vineyards benefit from the proximity to the sea, which offers a maritime breeze and ideal growing conditions for the vines. The red clay soil combined with the Mediterranean climate creates perfect conditions for growing high-quality grapes.
The estate produces a variety of wines, including the famous Morellino di Scansano, which impresses with its fruitiness and opulence. Other notable wines include fresh Vermentino, powerful Lodolaia Syrah, and Cuvée Granfalco, a blend of Sangiovese and Syrah. Each wine reflects the uniqueness of the terroir and the dedication of the winemakers.
A particularly interesting detail is the biodynamic management of the winery, which is in harmony with nature and highlights the individuality of each grape variety. Hayo Loacker and Michela Lencioni, the responsible winemakers, rely on sustainable practices to constantly improve the quality of their wines.
