Corte Pavone
Corte Pavone, a historic winery in picturesque Tuscany, stands for excellent winemaking and sustainable viticulture. Located in Montalcino, a region known for its prestigious wines, the Corte Pavone vineyards stretch across rolling hills characterized by a rich variety of soils and microclimates. This diversity gives the estate's wines a unique complexity and depth.
Founded in the late 19th century, Corte Pavone has undergone several significant changes and improvements, particularly since its takeover by the Loacker family in the 1990s. The Loackers, known for their pioneering work in biodynamic viticulture, brought their philosophy of natural and environmentally friendly agriculture to Corte Pavone. Under her leadership, the winery has been completely converted to biodynamic methods, with a focus on promoting the natural health and vitality of the vineyards.
The estate's main grape variety is Sangiovese, from which the famous Brunello di Montalcino is made. Produced only in the best years, this wine is characterized by its deep aromas of dark fruits, spices and tobacco, combined with remarkable structure and longevity. The Brunello di Montalcino by Corte Pavone is a true masterpiece that captures the essence of Tuscan terroir.
The climate in Montalcino is ideal for winegrowing, with hot summers and cool nights that allow the grapes to ripen perfectly. The combination of Mediterranean climate, loamy and calcareous soils and careful care of the vines creates the ideal conditions for producing top wines.
