Lispida Castle
The Castello di Lispida winery is located in the Veneto region, more specifically in the Colli Euganei sub-region. This picturesque landscape is characterized by rolling hills and volcanic soil, ideal for viticulture. The history of the winery dates back to the 11th century, when it was first founded as a Benedictine monastery. It was converted into a castle in the 19th century and has been a symbol of the region's winemaking tradition ever since. The current winemaker, Dr. Paolo de Marchi, runs the winery with great passion and a deep understanding of sustainable viticulture. It uses biodynamic methods and completely dispenses with chemical additives. This makes Castello di Lispida wines particularly pure and authentic.
A special feature of the winery is the use of ancient cellars, which are ideal for storing and maturing the wines. Castello di Lispida wines are known for their high quality and unique character. The most famous wines include “Amphora Bianco”, a white wine aged in terracotta amphoras, and “Merlot”, a complex and multi-layered red wine.
