Weinlaubenhof Kracher, located in the Seewinkel region of Austria’s Burgenland, has been synonymous with noble sweet wines of the highest quality for three generations. The estate’s vineyards stretch between Illmitz and the shores of Lake Neusiedl, where the unique terroir and Pannonian climate create ideal conditions for the development of Botrytis cinerea (noble rot). These natural factors form the foundation for exceptional dessert wines such as Beerenauslesen and Trockenbeerenauslesen.
Under the leadership of Alois Kracher, the winery became known for producing 10 to 15 different Trockenbeerenauslesen each year, crafted in two distinct styles. The "Zwischen den Seen" (Between the Lakes) line is matured in large oak casks or stainless steel tanks and reflects the classic regional character. In contrast, the "Nouvelle Vague" wines are aged in new barriques, offering depth, spice, and lasting complexity.
Today, the estate is run by Gerhard Kracher, who continues his father's legacy with the same passion and energy. In addition to the internationally acclaimed Trockenbeerenauslesen, the portfolio includes Beerenauslesen, Auslesen, Ice Wine, and small quantities of dry white and red wines. Each bottle captures the distinct character of the Lake Neusiedl region, and Kracher’s wines are recognized and celebrated both nationally and internationally.
