Pasitficio Setaro
Pastificio Setaro is a traditional pasta producer based in Torre Annunziata near Naples in the Campania region, an area with a long history of pasta production. The company was founded in 1939 and is known for producing high-quality Italian pasta using traditional methods.
Setaro pasta is made from durum wheat semolina and water and processed using classic techniques. A key feature is bronze die extrusion (trafilata al bronzo), which gives the pasta a slightly rough surface that helps sauces adhere better.
After shaping, the pasta is slowly dried at low temperatures to preserve the structure, flavor and quality of the durum wheat. This traditional process is characteristic of high-quality pasta from Campania.
