Riserva San Massimo
Riserva San Massimo is a rice producer from Lombardy, located in the Ticino Valley Natural Park near Pavia. The historic estate is one of the few places in Italy where rice is still cultivated within a protected natural reserve. The combination of fertile soils, pure water from the Ticino River and an intact ecosystem creates ideal conditions for rice cultivation.
Riserva San Massimo is particularly known for high-quality Italian rice varieties such as Carnaroli and Vialone Nano, which are among the most important varieties used for classic Italian risotto. The rice is grown, harvested and processed directly on the estate, ensuring full control over quality and origin.
Today, Riserva San Massimo stands for high-quality Italian rice from sustainable cultivation and is considered one of the best-known producers of Carnaroli risotto rice from Lombardy.
