Distilleria Amara

A distinctive feature of the Amara Distillery is the use of regional specialties, such as the famous Sicilian blood oranges, citrus fruits, herbs, and aromatic plants from the slopes of Etna.

The Amara Distillery has its roots on the Italian island of Sicily, specifically at the foot of Mount Etna, and specializes in producing liqueurs that focus on local fruits and herbs. The distillery was founded in the early 20th century and has since become a renowned producer of amari and fruit liqueurs. From the very beginning, Amara emphasized the combination of tradition, local raw materials, and careful artisanal craftsmanship.
A distinctive feature of the Amara Distillery is the use of regional specialties, such as the famous Sicilian blood oranges, citrus fruits, herbs, and aromatic plants from the slopes of Etna. These carefully selected ingredients are macerated and distilled using traditional processes, resulting in liqueurs that reflect the characteristic taste of the region and possess a balanced aroma with a gentle bitterness. The Amaro di Arancia Rossa is a typical example of this philosophy: the combination of mild bitterness, intense fruitiness, and delicate herbal notes makes it a unique digestif.
Today, the Amara Distillery is internationally recognized and exports its products worldwide. In addition to classic amari, the distillery also produces innovative liqueurs with varying flavor profiles, always maintaining a focus on the quality and authenticity of the raw materials. Modern production methods are combined with traditional techniques to ensure consistency, purity, and the typical character of Sicilian liqueurs. Despite its growing international presence, Amara remains true to its origins: the combination of Sicilian nature, artisanal craftsmanship, and authentic taste is at the heart of every bottle.
