Arneis

Arneis is a white grape variety from Piedmont in Italy that is known for its aromas. The grape, also known as the “little rascal,” was almost extinct in the 1970s, but was revived by dedicated winemakers such as Alfredo Currado. Arneis wines are dry, medium-bodied and have aromas of peach, apple, honey and almonds. The moderate acidity and rounded mouthfeel make them versatile when combined with light dishes such as chicken or seafood. Most Arneis wines should be consumed within three years of purchase.
