The Barolo DOCG Ginestra Pajana 2019 by Domenico Clerico is an outstanding wine that embodies the excellence and prestige of the Langhe region in Piedmont. This Barolo, made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes, is deep garnet red with shimmering ruby red reflections. Its scent is complex and seductive, with intense aromas of ripe red fruits such as cherries and raspberries, accompanied by subtle notes of rose petals, licorice and spices.
On the palate, the wine is powerful and structured, with silky tannins and lively acidity, which gives a remarkable freshness. The aftertaste is long-lasting and elegant, with a harmonious balance between fruit, spice and oak. This exceptional Barolo received a rating of 96/100 points from James Suckling, a renowned wine critic, which underlines its outstanding quality and refinement. It is a true expression of Ginestra Pajana's terroir and shows Domenico Clerico's unparalleled craftsmanship and passion for producing first-class wines.

The aromas of raspberries, Cherries and orange peels are medium to full bodied, with firm and very fine tannins that are tough but fine-grained. The acid is also strong. Try it after 2027.
RP/95/100
The front of this bottle now lists its MGA provenance, Ginestra. The Domenico Clerico 2019 Barolo Ginestra Pajana shows a more open initial impression (next to the Ciabot Mentin) with soft black fruit. The wine makes a bigger impact in terms of texture with firm structure and silky tannins. It is just a little more open-knit and accessible. Some 5,000 bottles were released, and for the first time, Pajana is aged only in large oak casks (measuring 5,000 liters).
