The 2021 Château Pontet-Canet is a remarkable 5th Growth from Pauillac, once again showcasing its pedigree and precision. This vintage captures the pure essence of elegance and terroir, produced under challenging climatic conditions that demanded meticulous attention both in the vineyard and the cellar.

In the glass, it shines a deep purple with garnet highlights. The bouquet is rich and layered, revealing blackcurrant, blackberry, and cedarwood, intertwined with graphite, spice, and a hint of violet. On the palate, it offers a silky, creamy texture with seamlessly integrated tannins. Flavors of dark berries, cocoa, oak, and a touch of tobacco unfold into a long, graceful, and floral finish, masterfully expressing the Pauillac terroir.

The blend consists of 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot, 6% Petit Verdot, and 4% Cabernet Franc. Cabernet Sauvignon provides structure, while Merlot lends softness and fruit. Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc add further spice and depth. True to Château Pontet-Canet’s identity, biodynamic viticulture—pursued since 2004—brings clarity and finesse to the wine.
