The Barbaresco DOCG 2020 by Massimo Rivetti is a remarkable wine that embodies the essence of Piedmontese viticulture. Made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes, a grape variety known for its complexity and longevity, this wine shows a dense ruby red color with garnet reflections

On the nose, Barbaresco 2020 unfolds an intense bouquet of black berries, such as blackberries and black currants, accompanied by notes of cocoa beans, vanilla and cinnamon, which are reinforced by aging in large oak barrels. On the palate, it is powerful and silky at the same time, with a lively fruit acid that gives freshness and liveliness. The aftertaste is long-lasting and leaves

a remarkable aftertaste.

The Barbaresco wine region, located in Piedmont, is known for its ideal climatic conditions and calcareous soils, which give the wines a special minerality and depth. Barbaresco from this region is typical of its ability to gain complexity over the years and to preserve its fine tannins and elegant structure

The 2020 vintage benefited from optimal weather conditions, which enabled excellent ripening of the grapes. The wine is traditionally aged in large oak barrels and matures for at least 12 months, giving it its fine tannins and

elegant structure.

In the bottle with the white label, the Massimo Rivetti 2020 Barbaresco is leaner compared to the Froi, with subtle fruit tones of dried raspberry and redcurrant. You also get that same rusty mineral note that is present in the other wine, although the effect is better played here and more subdued. Production is 20,000 bottles.
