The Passito IGT Canthus Cornell 2023 from the renowned Colterenzio Winery is a refined dessert wine that combines the tradition of Passito winemaking with modern elegance. Carefully selected Gewürztraminer and Sauvignon Blanc grapes are late-harvested and naturally dried, concentrating sugars, aromas, and acidity.
In the glass, it shines with a brilliant golden yellow and amber highlights. The nose reveals a complex bouquet of exotic fruits, ripe apricot, honey, and delicate floral notes, lifted by a subtle spiciness. On the palate, it is rich, full-bodied, and harmonious, with a perfect balance between sweetness and lively acidity, creating freshness and elegance. The finish is long, creamy, and fruit-driven.
This Passito is a wonderful companion to desserts such as apple strudel, fruit tarts, or cantuccini, pairs beautifully with fine blue cheeses, and is also perfect as a meditative wine to end a meal.
