The Pinot Noir Riserva DOC Vigna Ganger 2021 from Girlan Winery is an outstanding Pinot Noir from one of Alto Adige’s finest single vineyards. “Vigna Ganger” represents a unique terroir in Mazon, situated between 360 and 380 metres above sea level, shaped by deep clay and limestone soils, an ideal south-facing exposure, and a distinctive microclimate. This exclusive Riserva is the result of meticulous site selection, reduced yields, and traditional yet highly precise winemaking—an expression that brings out the elegance and depth of this demanding grape variety at its very best.
The Pinot Noir shows an intense ruby red colour, already hinting at its concentration. The bouquet opens with ripe red fruit, especially cherries and wild berries, complemented by fine spicy notes, subtle marzipan-like nuances, and a delicate mineral touch. The aromatic profile is elegant and nuanced, with a clear structure typical of top Pinot Noir reserves from outstanding sites.
