The Blauburgunder „Mason“ 2023 from Manincor is an elegant, characterful Pinot Noir from South Tyrol, showcasing the unique terroir of the Colle di Mason (Mazon), a sun-drenched plateau at 400–450 m above sea level. The permeable morainic soils of dolomite, porphyry, gneiss, and granite, combined with cool air currents, provide ideal conditions for the Pinot Noir to fully express its finesse and aromatic depth.
In the glass, the Mason 2023 displays a bright ruby color, clear and intense. On the nose, it reveals delicate aromas of cherry, raspberry, and rose, complemented by subtle spice and floral notes characteristic of a high-quality Pinot Noir. The structured fruit is enhanced by elegant mineral hints, giving the wine freshness and complexity.
On the palate, the Mason is soft yet precise, with harmonious acidity and a perfect balance between fruit, spice, and gentle tannins. The finish is long and refined, with the fruity flavors lingering pleasantly.
The Blauburgunder „Mason“ 2023 is an outstanding expression of South Tyrolean Pinot Noir terroir and pairs beautifully with fine meats, mushroom risotto, or soft cheeses – a wine of elegance, finesse, and great personality.
