Chardonnay "Löwengang"
The Chardonnay IGT Löwengang BIO 2022 by Alois Lageder is an exquisite example of the outstanding quality and biodiversity that the winery has to offer. This wine is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes, which are known for their adaptability and versatility. Chardonnay from South Tyrol is characterized by fruity aromas and mineral freshness, which are favored by the calcareous, sandy soils and the region's unique
microclimate.Loewengang Chardonnay has a bright golden yellow color. The scent is distinct and intense, with notes of ripe pears, apricots and peaches, accompanied by nuances of fresh butter and wood. On the palate, it is full-bodied, complex and mineral, with fruity and salty notes that result in a long, elegant finish.
A special feature of this wine is its aging process. The wine is fermented spontaneously in barriques and large barrels and matures on fine lees for several months. It is then aged in the bottle for another year before it is on the market. This method gives the wine extra depth and complexity. Löwengang Chardonnay 2022 is an organically and biodynamically produced wine.
