The Vorberg Pinot Blanc Riserva 2023 from Cantina Terlano ranks among South Tyrol’s most exceptional white wines and clearly shows how strongly a wine can express its terroir. The historic Vorberg slope – steep terraces on the Terlano mountain between 450 and 650 meters – is known for its intense sunlight, wide day-night temperature shifts, and mineral-rich porphyry soils. These conditions give the wine its unmistakable clarity, depth, and structure.
In the glass, it shines with bright straw yellow and subtle green reflections. On the nose, it reveals a precise and layered bouquet of ripe pear, white peach, melon, and apple, complemented by gentle herbal nuances, chamomile, and elegant salty minerality. On the palate, it is powerful yet focused, with a creamy texture supported by lively acidity. The extended maturation on fine lees adds richness, while the long, mineral-spicy finish delivers remarkable length and complexity.
The Vorberg Riserva 2023 is a wine of outstanding elegance, significant aging potential, and a perfect match for refined fish and poultry dishes—or enjoyed on its own at the highest level.
