The Syrah Per Sempre 2023 from Tua Rita is an outstanding red wine, made exclusively from Syrah grapes grown in the Alta Maremma of Tuscany, in the renowned Colline Metallifere area. This location, with warm summers and limited rainfall, provides ideal conditions for the Syrah to fully express its potential. The name Per Sempre (“forever”) reflects the founder Virgilio’s passion, dedicating this wine to a variety he cherished deeply.
The wine is made from 100 % Syrah and represents one of Tua Rita’s flagship wines, produced in very limited quantities. After hand harvesting, fermentation takes place in stainless steel under controlled temperature, followed by 15–17 months of aging in French barriques, and further bottle aging before release. The result is a powerful, structured wine with great depth and elegance.
In the glass, the Per Sempre 2023 shows a deep ruby color. On the nose, it reveals a complex bouquet of ripe dark fruits, blackcurrants, and blackberries, complemented by spices like black pepper and subtle oak notes from barrel aging. On the palate, it is warm, rich, and elegant, with firm yet silky tannins and persistent structure. The finish is long and harmonious, with well-balanced fruit, spice, and elegance.
