Tenuta di Trinoro – Rosso Toscana “Campo di Tenaglia” 2023 is a single-varietal Cabernet Franc from a 0.8-hectare vineyard at the renowned Tenuta di Trinoro in Sarteano, Tuscany. The vines, over 25 years old, grow on limestone and sandy soils, facing towards the sunset, a positioning that imparts a great expression of the terroir. After careful selection, fermentation takes place in stainless steel, followed by 8 months of aging in new French barriques and another 11 months in cement tanks. This process gives the wine elegance, structure, and remarkable minerality, showcasing the authenticity and finesse of the Cabernet Franc. In the glass, the Campo di Tenaglia 2023 presents a deep ruby color, almost opaque. On the nose, the wine expresses a rich aromatic complexity with dark fruit notes like blackcurrant and blackberry, accompanied by mineral hints of graphite and a touch of spices such as cinnamon and floral notes of violet. On the palate, the wine is concentrated and structured, with soft yet firm tannins, and a balanced freshness that gives it length and persistence. The finish is elegant and mineral, making it ideal for aging.
