Tramin Winery: Wine Route 144, 39040 Tramin (BZ), IT
The Gewürztraminer Spätlese DOC Terminum 2024 from the renowned Tramin Winery is an outstanding expression of South Tyrol’s traditional sweet wine culture. This noble sweet wine is produced from late-harvested Gewürztraminer grapes that remain on the vine until early winter, developing an intense aromatic concentration through natural processes – a method that gives the wine its richness, balance and unmistakable personality. The term Spätlese refers to a late harvest with high physiological ripeness, which particularly emphasises aromatic depth and natural residual sweetness. This style is typical of increasingly elegant dessert and noble sweet wines made from Gewürztraminer.
In the glass, the Terminum 2024 displays an intense golden yellow colour with bright reflections, immediately revealing its maturity and concentration. The bouquet is highly complex, offering seductive notes of lychee, mango, ripe yellow fruit, honey and fine spicy nuances, accompanied by a gentle depth of noble rot. On the palate, the wine shows a smooth, dense texture, combined with a clear acidity structure that perfectly balances the sweetness and leads to a long, elegant finish.
