The Cuvée Elisabeth Salmon Rosé 2012 from Billecart-Salmon is a prestigious Champagne that combines elegance, precision and depth at the highest level. Dedicated to Elisabeth Salmon, co-founder of the House, this vintage represents exceptional finesse and remarkable ageing potential.
The blend is based predominantly on Pinot Noir, complemented by Chardonnay sourced from selected Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards in the Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims. Pinot Noir – partly vinified as still red wine – provides structure, finesse and the delicate copper-rosé hue, while Chardonnay contributes freshness, precision and mineral tension.
Vinification takes place in stainless steel to preserve aromatic purity, followed by extended lees ageing in bottle, enhancing complexity and creamy texture.
On the nose, aromas of wild strawberries, blood orange and white flowers unfold, supported by refined brioche and almond notes. The palate is powerful yet silky and profound, driven by vibrant acidity and impressive length.
