Chardonnay, small proportion of Friulano
The Amrità IGT / Friuli Bianco 2023 by Mario Schiopetto belongs to the premium range of this historic Friulian winery and is dedicated to the estate’s founder. The wine is produced from grapes grown in the winery’s historic vineyards in Friuli and represents one of the most refined and prestigious expressions within the Schiopetto portfolio. Its aim is to showcase the elegance of the estate’s style while highlighting the character of the local terroir.
The blend is based mainly on Chardonnay, complemented by a small proportion of Friulano. Chardonnay provides structure, depth and elegant fruit, while Friulano contributes aromatic complexity and a subtle spicy nuance. Together, the varieties create a refined white wine that reflects the typical character of the Friulian hills, combining freshness, balance and a distinctive mineral note. Vinification takes place under carefully controlled conditions in order to preserve the purity of aromas and the natural expression of the grapes.
In the glass, Amrità shows a bright straw-yellow colour with light greenish reflections. The bouquet is elegant and layered, offering notes of ripe fruit, white flowers, aromatic herbs and delicate hints of almond. On the palate the wine is structured yet lively, supported by fresh minerality, harmonious balance and a long, precise finish.
