The Pinot Bianco Riserva DOC Eppan Berg 2023 comes from the renowned
hillside area of Eppan Berg in
South Tyrol, a location long known for producing high-quality Pinot Bianco. The vineyards grow on mineral-rich moraine soils with sunny exposures. The grapes are carefully selected and come exclusively from this specific area, allowing the wine to clearly express the character of the terroir. Some of the vines are more than 40 years old, which contributes to the wine’s concentration and complexity.
The wine is made from
100% Pinot Bianco (Pinot Blanc). This variety is one of the most important white grapes in South Tyrol and is known for producing elegant wines with structure, fine fruit and mineral freshness. For this wine the must ferments and matures for
about ten months in both large and small oak barrels, adding depth, structure and aging potential.
The
designation Riserva indicates a particularly careful selection of grapes and a longer aging period compared to the standard version, resulting in wines with greater complexity and longevity.
In the glass the wine shows a pale straw yellow color with greenish reflections. The bouquet reveals aromas of apple, pear and honeydew melon. On the palate it is fresh and structured, with lively acidity, mineral notes and a long, harmonious finish.
