The Pinot Blanc Alto Adige DOC 2025 from Rottensteiner originates from higher-altitude vineyards around Bolzano, where sunny southeast to southwest-facing slopes meet sandy, porphyry-rich soils. This combination creates elegant, mineral-driven white wines with precision and clarity. Pinot Blanc has been cultivated in South Tyrol for around 150 years and is now one of the region’s key white grape varieties, showing particular finesse and freshness in cooler, elevated sites.
The grapes are carefully processed and fermented at controlled temperatures of around 20°C in stainless steel tanks. This approach preserves the wine’s purity, freshness, and varietal character. With a production of approximately 16,000 bottles and an alcohol content of 13.6% vol, the wine is well-balanced and approachable, offering a maturation potential of two to three years.
In the glass, it displays a pale straw yellow color. The nose reveals fine aromas of citrus fruits and fresh apple. On the palate, it is lively and fresh, with clear fruit and a well-integrated acidity that ensures balance and excellent drinkability.
