Unique wines from Piedmont

The Braida winery, located in Rocchetta Tanaro in the heart of Piedmont, is a beacon of Italian viticulture. Founded in 1961 by Giacomo Bologna, Braida has revolutionized the Barbera grape and elevated it to the international elite of wines.

Giacomo Bologna, a visionary winemaker, began experimenting with Barbera in barriques, small French oak barrels, in 1982. This innovation led to the creation of the famous “Bricco dell'Uccellone”, which is now considered one of the most outstanding Barbera wines. After Giacomo's death in 1990, his children Raffaella and Giuseppe Bologna took over the reins and continue their father's legacy with dedication and innovation.

The winery covers around 70 hectares, spread over the Monferrato and Langhe regions. In addition to Barbera, which is produced in various variations such as “Montebruna” and “Ai Suma”, Braida also grows other varieties such as Moscato, Grignolino and Chardonnay. Among these, the Moscato d’Asti DOCG “Vigna Senza Nome” stands out as one of the estate’s most distinctive and beloved wines — an elegant, aromatic expression that perfectly captures the freshness, fragrance, and joyful spirit of Piedmont.This diversity reflects the winery's philosophy: to reconcile tradition and modernity.
