Michele Chiarlo

The Michele Chiarlo winery was founded in 1956 by Michele Chiarlo and has since developed into one of the most renowned producers in the Piedmont region. The winery is located in the heart of Piedmont, mainly in the Langhe sub-region, which is known for its first-class vineyards. Michele Chiarlo began with the aim of producing the highest quality wines that reflect the region's terroir and traditions.

Today, the winery is run by Michele Chiarlo and his sons Stefano and Alberto. The Chiarlo family is known for their dedication to winemaking and uses sustainable farming methods and careful vinification processes to create wines that are both elegant and structured.

A special feature of the winery is its commitment to cultivating historic vineyards and preserving traditional grape varieties. Michele Chiarlo owns plots in some of Piedmont's most prestigious locations, including Cannubi, Cerequio and Asili, which are known for their excellent conditions for growing Nebbiolo, Barbera and other noble grape varieties.

The estate's most famous wines include Barolo DOCG, Barbaresco DOCG and Barbera d'Asti DOCG. These wines have received international recognition and are known for their complexity, elegance and longevity. The Barolo “Cerequio” and the Barbaresco “Asili” are particularly noteworthy as they represent the quintessence of the Chiarlo family's terroir and craftsmanship.
