Griesbauerhof
The Griesbauerhof, a traditional winery in Bolzano, South Tyrol, can look back on an impressive history. The winery has been family-owned for over 200 years and is now managed by Georg Mumelter in the eighth generation. The Griesbauerhof is located in the heart of the Gries wine region, which is known for its excellent conditions for viticulture.
The Griesbauerhof covers an area of 10 hectares and benefits from the ideal climatic conditions of the Bolzano region. The combination of alpine and Mediterranean climates and mineral-rich soils create a perfect terroir for growing high-quality grapes. The Griesbauerhof vineyards are planted with the autochthonous Lagrein and Vernatsch grape varieties as well as international varieties such as Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
A special feature of Griesbauerhof is the sustainable management of the vineyards. Georg Mumelter attaches great importance to organic farming methods and the conservation of natural resources.
