In the heart of South Tyrol, surrounded by vineyards and the unique landscape around Bolzano, lies Widmann Wine – a young and dynamic winery that unites tradition with a modern interpretation of winemaking. Founder Max Widmann has carried his passion for viticulture since childhood: from an early age he was fascinated by the vines, the soils, and the work in nature. After formative experiences at renowned wineries in Tuscany, Germany, and Burgundy, he returned to his homeland to pursue his own path.
Widmann Wine stands for a clear, modern style that respects its origins while opening up new horizons. Each wine reflects a personal vision – marked by curiosity, precision, and a refined sense of balance. For Max Widmann, wine is not a static product but a continuous journey. His work is driven by openness and passion, with the ambition to create wines that evoke emotions and leave lasting impressions.
The estate places great importance on sustainable vineyard practices, gentle vinification in the cellar, and a respectful use of natural resources. This results in wines that combine elegance, finesse, and character, while at the same time conveying the unique expression of South Tyrolean terroir. The collection consists of four signature wines: Reflexion Vernatsch, Soleil Rosé, Lagrein Gravità, and Chardonnay Voyage – two of which have become the most renowned flagships: Lagrein IGT Gravità and Chardonnay IGT Voyage.
