The Eisacktal (Isarco Valley) is South Tyrol’s northernmost winegrowing region, renowned for producing fresh, mineral-driven white wines. Steep hillside vineyards on weathered schist and sandy gravel soils yield wines of clarity, finesse, and distinctive terroir. Signature grape varieties include Sylvaner, Kerner, Müller-Thurgau, Riesling, Grüner Veltliner, and Gewürztraminer – all showcasing a crisp, alpine style.

The contrast between warm days and cool nights in autumn allows for optimal ripening and aromatic intensity, while maintaining moderate alcohol levels.

At the center of the region’s success is the Eisacktal Winery, known for consistent quality and varietal expression. Alongside it, boutique estates like Pacherhof (refined Sylvaner and Riesling) and Taschlerhof (structured, elegant whites) shape the region’s identity. The organic-certified Garlider Hof impresses with both white wines and Pinot Noir. Meanwhile, Weingut Kuenhof, the historic Strasserhof, and the young, ambitious Weingut Röck offer unique expressions of the valley's character.
